Location: The PokeNerds Store
Job Description:
The PokeNerds Store is seeking a skilled and proactive inventory buyer to join our team. The inventory buyer will be responsible for staying up-to-date on the latest Pokémon products being released both domestically and internationally, and for maintaining good working relationships with distributors. In addition, the inventory buyer will research and establish distribution channels not currently attained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay informed about the latest Pokémon products being released domestically and internationally
- Maintain good working relationships with distributors
- Research and establish distribution channels.
- Work with the store team to create and manage inventory budgets
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for product growth
- Attend trade shows and other industry events as needed
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in buying or procurement, preferably in the retail or entertainment industry
- Knowledge of Pokémon and enthusiasm for the franchise is a plus
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other inventory management software
